A Window on the CP-violation from Lepton Flavor Violating Processes

Abstract:

I first review the concept of lepton flavor and the role that Lepton Flavor Violating (LFV)processes can play to unravel new physics. I show that by studying the polarizations of the emitted particles, one can derive information on the CP-violating phases of theeffective Lagrangian leading to these rare processes.I then focus on the minimal supersymmetric standard model as an example of beyond SM scenarios. I show that the combined analysis of μ → eγ and μ − e conversion can help us to solve degeneracies and extract the parameters of the underlying model.
